How to recognise genuine emails from MMA
To help you identify authentic emails from Manchester Medical Academy (MMA), many of our messages include a security footer containing your name. This personalised footer helps you distinguish genuine MMA communications from fraudulent or “phishing” emails.
Phishing emails are designed to look like legitimate messages but are sent by fraudsters attempting to steal personal information or direct you to malicious websites. These emails usually do not include personalised details, such as your name, and may contain suspicious links.
Important information
The presence of a security footer does not guarantee that an email is legitimate, but it provides an additional layer of reassurance.
Most phishing emails sent to large mailing lists will not contain personalised information.
If you are unsure about the authenticity of an email, do not click on any links.
